Who is The Human?
Susan the Human is agent and manager to Pesky the Rat and Janet the Snake. Desperate for an outlet to express her more human-oriented views, she created a web page. Unfortunately, Janet the Snake ate it. So she created another one. This one is snake-proofed.

Originally from the redwood forests of central and Northern California, Susan the Human now lives with various lethal and non-lethal beasts in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Unexpected trip to Japan!

Ok, it's the Benihana in Burlingame. But we can dream, can't we?

I'm taking a short break today from posting San Francisco pics as I've been on business in Burlingame the last couple of days. There's a lovely trail up the Bay shoreline in front of the airport hotels, and it appears to snake all the way to the airport. I saw numerous airport workers on breaks taking a stroll. Here's what you look like taking off from SFO:

The perspective on that shot is weird. I think it's because the far shoreline is receding to the right. Makes it look off-kilter, even though the shot was taken on the level.

The writing on the hillside in back of the airport, for those of you not from the Bay Area, says, "South San Francisco, The Industrial City". City leaders made a wish along those lines many years ago, and, well, they got it. Which is why you fly in below that sign, and then quickly get the hell out to the REAL San Francisco as fast as you can.  These days the industry of choice is biotechnology and, of course, airport services.
