Who is The Human? Susan the Human is agent and
manager to Pesky the Rat
and Janet the Snake.
Desperate for an outlet to express her more human-oriented views, she
created a web page. Unfortunately, Janet the Snake ate it. So she created
another one. This one is snake-proofed.
Originally from the
redwood forests of central and Northern California, Susan the Human
now
lives with various lethal and non-lethal beasts in the San Francisco Bay
Area.

Went to Alcatraz yesterday...the Sausalito Art Fair on Saturday. Pics from both trips up throughout the week. Here's the view from Pier 39 yesterday for starters.
Yep, that's a bit of smog in the distance. Typically San Francisco itself doesn't get much smog, but the Central Valley and the Silicon Valley get plenty when temperatures are high. In person it doesn't look nearly as pronounced as it does in this picture, and those islands and hills are several miles away. Still, it was among the worst smog days I've seen for the North Bay in a long time. Three days of 90+ temps will do that. I did my part--BART and Ferries got me around very efficiently.
